Weekly Wine Review - Australian Red Blend - 2013 Molly Dooker Two Left Feet

Part II of my Mollydooker tasting, last week it was The Boxer.  This week - Two Left Feet a Shiraz, Cab, Merlot blend. Let the showdown begin!

Wine: 2013 Molly Dooker Two Left Feet
Region: South Australia
Grape Varieties: Shiraz - 70%, Cabernet Sauvignon - 16%, Merlot - 14%
Obtained from: Purchased at Total Wine & More
Price: $22
Wino4Life Category: Weekend Wine
Aeration before tasting: Just a swirl or two, no special aeration.
Cork Condition: Natural cork - no defects or issues.
Appearance: Clear, dark purple in color with a reddish rim.
Aroma: Blackberries, chocolate, spices.
Taste: A definite fruit bomb. Big and bold but nicely balanced.
The Grade: I give this one an A. Slightly beating out last week's "The Boxer", this wine is just as big and has the same high 16% alcohol, but a nice blend of Cab and Merlot makes it more complex and reduces the heat The Boxer had from the alcohol level. So by just a bit - Two Left Feet is my winner - but for the price, these are both really nice wines.
