Weekly Wine Review - Argentinian Red - 2011 Finca Flichman Dedicado

I am a big fan of Finca Flichman Malbecs.  Great tasting - and great value wines, many at around $15.  They also make a line of Malbec based blends, including this one with Cabernet and Syrah - called Dedicado. It even comes with special instructions on the back label - "Uncork a good while before drinking"... I love it!
Wine: 2011 Finca Flichman Dedicado
Region: Mendoza, Argentina
Grape Varieties: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah

Obtained from: Purchased at Total Wine & More
Price: $30
Wino4Life Category: Weekend Wine

Aeration before tasting: Just a swirl or two, no special aeration.
Cork Condition: Natural cork - no defects or issues.

Appearance: Clear, dark purple in color.
Aroma: Lot of fruit - blackberry, boysenberry, along with chocolate and some baking spices.
Taste: Delicious and fruity from the Malbec, but much heftier from the supporting cast of Cabernet and Syrah.

The Grade: I give this one an A.  Really nice when you need a fuller bodied wine. Ready for a big steak or some game meat - definitely food friendly.  A really amazing wine for just $30, and hey... even makes a great Christmas present!
